Hydration through foods

- Take the value of your weight divided by two and drink that amount in ounces everyday.
- Before class, eat fruits and vegetables. They are water based and will keep you hydrated.
- Avoid salt and sodium packed foods as well as fried foods, caffeine, and alcohol.
- Drink twenty ounces of water two to three hours before class and another ten ounces ten minutes before class.
- Sports drinks replenish electrolytes for workouts lasting more than one hour.
- Caffeine free herbal teas also help with hydration as well as natural juices.
- Bananas and granola bars may also be eaten before class.
